MILLENNIUM PEANUT BUTTER BALLS

 

 

Ingredients:
Balls
2 cups crunchy peanut butter
2 cups rice krispies
1 cube butter
1 16-oz package powdered sugar
 
Chocolate Covering
1 16-oz Hershey bar
1 12-oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bar paraffin wax

Preparation:

Melt butter in sauce pan over low heat.  In large mixing bowl combine peanut butter, rice krispies, powdered sugar and melted butter.  Mix with wooden spoon or clean hands until consistent and easy to form into balls.  If too dry add more melted butter.  Roll into 1" diameter balls and place on wax paper or stick-resistant cookie sheet.  Set aside.  Grate paraffin wax.  Over low to medium heat, combine wax, chocolate bar and chocolate chips, stirring constantly until consistent.  Reduce heat to low.  Then dip balls (1 or 2 at a time) into chocolate and place on cookie sheet.  Wait until chocolate hardens.  For best results, remove from sheet with a spatula and serve or place in refrigerator.
